Pierre-Adrien Dalpayrat is a major figure in art nouveau ceramics. Born in Limoges, trained by Vieillard in Bordeaux, he won a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900. Known for his famous red "sang-de-boeuf" his works were very successful.
